Washington legend Charley Taylor dies at 80

Charley Taylor, the Washington Commanders Hall of Famer who retired as the NFL’s all-time leading receiver, died Saturday, the team announced. He was 80 years old.

Taylor played his entire career in Washington, accruing eight Pro Bowl nods, two NFL receptions titles and the 1964 Rookie of the Year Award. He retired with not only 9,110 career receiving yards, most in NFL history at that point, but also 1,488 rushing…
