Eric Schmidt, the former chief executive of Google, has paid $65 million for Enchanted Hill, a prized piece of undeveloped land in Beverly Hills that was owned by late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, according to people familiar with the situation. Apple Quarterly Revenue Increases 29% But Misses Forecasts, Hits 745 Million Paid Subscriptions

Apple, the world’s most valuable tech company, reported record revenue for a September quarter — but its stock slid after sales fell short of expectations and execs warned of ongoing supply-chain problems.
