Serena Williams withdraws after on-court injury

Serena Williams won’t be making history at Wimbledon this year. In the middle of the first set of her Round 1 match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Williams slipped on the grass while planting one of her legs, injuring her knee.  Williams exited briefly to be treated by a trainer. The Milwaukee Bucks finally looked like the Milwaukee Bucks in dominating the second half of Game 4 to take a 107-96 win over the Brooklyn Nets and even the Eastern Conference semifinals series at 2-2.  Giannis Antetokounmpo outdueled the Nets’ Kevin Durant after Kyrie Irving was ruled out for the remainder of the game with a right ankle sprain. Anthony Davis leaves Game 6 early with groin injury

Los Angeles Lakers team doctors cleared Anthony Davis to return for their critical Game 6 matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night. That decision, however, seems to have been premature. Davis lasted less than six minutes at the Staples Center on Thursday before he had to leave the game. Kevin Durant has been ruled out of the rest of Sunday afternoon’s game against the Miami Heat after suffering a left thigh contusion, the Brooklyn Nets announced.  Durant slowly left the bench area for the locker room during the first quarter.
