Chiefs’ Andy Reid shocked he was able to keep Eric Bieniemy

Andy Reid didn’t think he’d get offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to return for another season. That, however, isn’t because of any rift between the two of them. Reports of any issues between the two, Reid said Tuesday from the NFL combine in Indianapolis, were completely made up. “The whole thing with Eric Bieniemy has gotten kind of fabricated,” Reid said, via ESPN. “We were on vacation and over the two weeks I came back and all of a sudden it was that I didn’t like Eric and… Source link

Bengals, Zac Taylor could have gameplanned better for Chiefs

Zac Taylor just led the Cincinnati Bengals to the Super Bowl … and he did so with the worst regular season winning percentage for any head coach to ever reach the big game, sitting at 0.337 from 2019-2021. And for one half against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game on Sunday, Taylor played the part. Between the lack of aggressive play-calling and lack of physicality against an officiating crew known to avoid throwing flags, Taylor looked outmatched against Andy Reid and the… Source link

Bengals stun Chiefs, punch ticket to Super Bowl 2022

Losing the coin toss in overtime isn’t a death sentence, though you heard a lot about how the rules were unfair to the Buffalo Bills after an AFC divisional-round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.  To get the ball to your offense, the defense needs to keep the opponent out of the end zone on the first drive. And that’s what the Cincinnati Bengals did.  The Chiefs won the coin toss after tying a thrilling AFC championship game with a field goal as time expired in regulation, and there were… Source link

On second-and-10 from the Kansas City 14-yard line, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow looked to wideout Tee Higgins in the end zone.  Higgins got his left hand on the ball, but Chiefs cornerback Rashad… Source link

Tyreek Hill‘s 64-yard touchdown catch and run was one of the wildest moments in quite possibly the wildest game in recent NFL history, but the NFL isn’t happy with one part of the play. The league has fined the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver $10,300 for flashing a peace sign at defenders while running into the end zone, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Bengals’ Week 17 method validated by Chiefs’ ’13 seconds’

With just over 11 minutes remaining in the Week 17 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals, CBS broadcaster Tony Romo had a premonition. Romo and Jim Nantz had just been talking about “The Catch,” the famous Joe Montana-to-Dwight Clark touchdown in the 1981 season’s NFC championship, vaulting the San Francisco 49ers into their first Super Bowl to face this same Bengals franchise, allowing for a natural tie-in to this game. With the Bengals holding a slim edge over the… Source link
