Yahoo Plays and Strategy for Sunday, October 30

Yahoo Plays and Strategy for Sunday, October 30

After another successful Saturday slate, we’re back to the grind for this Sunday card. We have eight games spread throughout the day, with seven making up the main slate. It’s rare to have seven on a Sunday, but we’re grateful to see so many teams in action. Many big-name players have brilliant matchups, so we’ll do our best to offer up a stud and value play at each position. With that in mind, let’s start with my favorite play on the slate. Guards Devin Booker, PHX vs. HOU ($35) People were… Source link

Yahoo DFS Hockey: Sunday Picks

Yahoo DFS Hockey: Sunday Picks

There are four NHL games Sunday evening, but unfortunately New Jersey’s game is a matinee so it won’t be involved in the action on Devil’s Night (which I learned in adulthood is entirely a Detroit thing and thus a reference lost on everybody else). For the eight teams playing, here are some players to target, and to avoid, for your DFS lineups. GOALIE Logan Thompson, VGK vs. WPG ($37): The tricky thing about Sunday’s goalies is that every netminder catching a team on the second leg of a… Source link

Predicting the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season

The first College Football Playoff rankings are just days away. We’ll get our first glimpse of the committee’s thinking on Tuesday when it releases its top 25 for the first time. And we’re fascinated to see how the committee ranks the top teams. There are six undefeated teams through the first nine weeks of the season while one-loss teams like Alabama, Oregon and USC also have viable paths to the playoff if they win out. Here’s our best guess at what the top 10 will look like in Tuesday’s… Source link

Plenty of questions were raised when the San Antonio Spurs waived last year’s 12th overall pick Joshua Primo out of the blue on Friday. An answer arrived one day later. The ESPN report light on details of the allegations against Primo, merely noting the sudden decision to cut him loose reflected the severity of the issues with the 19-year-old wing. Shams Charania of The Athletic later… Source link

Mark Zuckerberg is trying to do what Google did with Android — but he learned all the wrong lessons

Tim Cook, Mark Zuckerberg.Justin Sullivan/Getty Images (left), David Ramos/Getty Images (right) Meta’s effort to build the metaverse is a way to wrangle back control of consumer data from Apple, experts say. The attempt to gain a competitive advantage over Apple is reminiscent of Google’s effort to build Android. Google’s effort paid off, but it’s likely that Mark Zuckerberg learned the wrong lessons from recent history. Meta wants to wrangle control away from Apple. The company’s multi-billion… Source link

Elon Musk has ordered company-wide layoffs at Twitter, according to The New York Times. On Saturday, the SpaceX and Tesla executive reportedly told managers to begin drawing up lists of employees to cut. Twitter did not immediately respond to Engadget’s request for comment. The Times could not determine how much of Twitter’s workforce Musk plans to let go – though some teams will be more affected than others. Before completing his $44 billion takeover of the company, Musk reportedly… Source link

‘The Anti-Semitic label that is being pushed on me is not justified’

Kyrie Irving took to Twitter once again Saturday morning, this time to address a previous offensive tweet. It was still a topic of conversation by the end of the Brooklyn Nets‘ game that day. Irving garnered significant backlash Thursday when he shared a link to a documentary called “Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America,” based on a book of the same name by Ronald Dalton Jr. Both the book and movie have been criticized for their antisemitic message. “I am an OMNIST and I meant no… Source link
