Facebook and Google are prolonging the pandemic

Created by well-funded anti-vaccine groups and spread by misguided but dedicated activists on social media, vaccine misinformation could lengthen the COVID-19 pandemic and literally kill people. The First Amendment prevents governments from silencing speech, but it doesn’t compel private companies to enable, promote and support harmful speech: Nobody is owed a social media service. Social media companies must limit anti-vaccine groups’ power to harm people through their services.
