Australian lawmakers expected to pass amendments to Facebook, Google law

CANBERRA (Reuters) – Australian lawmakers are expected to approve amendments to landmark legislation to force Facebook and Alphabet’s Google to pay media companies for news content, despite opposition from some minor political parties.
