Florida and Georgia issued a joint statement on Sunday morning condemning an antisemitic message that was projected onto the exterior of TIAA Bank Field after the Bulldogs’ 42-20 win over the Gators. The message positively referenced Kanye West’s antisemitic remarks earlier this month. The statement from the school not only denounced what was projected onto the stadium but “other antisemitic messages” in the city of Jacksonville. “We strongly condemn the antisemitic hate speech… Source link

Start ’em sit ’em tips for Week 8 of the NFL season
Fantasy football sit-and-start advice should always be relative and league-dependent. Note that some players are targeted for DFS. Good luck with your Week 8 lineups! Start: Greg Dulcich Sit: Trevor Lawrence Dulcich has immediately taken over as Denver’s top tight end, recording nine targets in the second game of his career last week. That qualifies him as a top-12 fantasy tight end right away. Denver gets Russell Wilson back and will be forced to throw this week thanks in part to having a… Source link

McDonald’s (MCD) customers in the U.S. are still lovin’ the fast food chain, even with higher prices. This positive momentum came despite menu prices increasing by 10% year-over-year. “McDonald’s in the U.S. had positive traffic — not many restaurants today have… Source link

After another successful Saturday slate, we’re back to the grind for this Sunday card. We have eight games spread throughout the day, with seven making up the main slate. It’s rare to have seven on a Sunday, but we’re grateful to see so many teams in action. Many big-name players have brilliant matchups, so we’ll do our best to offer up a stud and value play at each position. With that in mind, let’s start with my favorite play on the slate. Guards Devin Booker, PHX vs. HOU ($35) People were… Source link

There are four NHL games Sunday evening, but unfortunately New Jersey’s game is a matinee so it won’t be involved in the action on Devil’s Night (which I learned in adulthood is entirely a Detroit thing and thus a reference lost on everybody else). For the eight teams playing, here are some players to target, and to avoid, for your DFS lineups. GOALIE Logan Thompson, VGK vs. WPG ($37): The tricky thing about Sunday’s goalies is that every netminder catching a team on the second leg of a… Source link

The first College Football Playoff rankings are just days away. We’ll get our first glimpse of the committee’s thinking on Tuesday when it releases its top 25 for the first time. And we’re fascinated to see how the committee ranks the top teams. There are six undefeated teams through the first nine weeks of the season while one-loss teams like Alabama, Oregon and USC also have viable paths to the playoff if they win out. Here’s our best guess at what the top 10 will look like in Tuesday’s… Source link

Nigerian singer and dancer, Korra Obidi, has cried out on her Facebook page after her credit card was allegedly debited multiple times at an airport restaurant in Mexico. Obidi, who noted she could only use laughter to console herself, said Nigerian ‘yahoo boys’ were learning, as she did not expect such alleged fraud in Mexico.
