Texas reaches settlement with radio stations over deceptive Google Pixel ads

Texas has reached a settlement with radio giant iHeartMedia over thousands of deceptive ads it aired promoting the Google Pixel 4 smartphone.

The San Antonio-based radio station owner agreed to pay $65,000 in civil penalties and attorney fees, the Texas Attorney General’s Office announced Monday.

The settlement comes one month after iHeartMedia and Google reached an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission, Texas and several other states to pay $9.4 million in penalties.
