The Oregon Ducks will look to defend their back-to-back Pac-12 conference titles in 2021 and one media outlet expects Oregon to be a top ten team when the season rolls around. Is college football going to hire any African American coaches this year? Just wondering, because the trend certainly isn’t headed in that direction. Last season, the 120 FBS schools employed 13 Black head coaches. Three were fired and no African Americans have been hired yet this year (10 open positions have been filled by 10 white men). Trey Sermon might have just carried Ohio State into the College Football Playoff. Sermon set an Ohio State rushing record with 29 carries for 331 yards as the Buckeyes came back to beat No. 14 Northwestern, 22-10, in the Big Ten championship game.
