Cowboys lost more penalty yards than 4 teams ran for

If there’s a word that can sum up the Dallas Cowboys‘ 2021 season it’s this: discipline. As in, a lack thereof.  The Cowboys watched their season crater in Sunday’s NFC wild-card loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and it happened in perhaps what should have been predictable fashion. Sure, the end-of-game execution on Dak Prescott‘s failed QB sneak and spike was big. But there’s no way we can overlook the impact of the huge holding call in the first quarter (see below) or the delay of game… Source link

Seven playoff teams = too much football?

Coming into this past weekend, we only had 13 NFL games left until September, so complaining about any of them seems a little ungrateful. But let’s be honest … several of the allegedly “super” wild-card matchups in the NFL playoffs stunk like those Thanksgiving leftovers you just discovered in the back of the fridge. Sure, two of the games came down to the last possession. But two others were all but unwatchable from the jump. The Bucs and Bills hung a combined 58 points – Tampa Bay 31,… Source link

Mediocre NFC teams vie for wild card

How does NFL playoff expansion look? It’s with three deeply flawed 7-7 teams fighting for the No. 7 seed in the NFC.  More often than not that extra playoff team will be mediocre at best, and coming down the stretch we have three .500 teams battling it out for the postseason. Barring a collapse, it seems the NFC West will have three teams in: Rams, Cardinals and 49ers. That leaves one wild-card spot for the Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints or Philadelphia Eagles (or, if things really… Source link

Rams among teams affected by COVID-19 outbreak

In 2020, we had to consider a lot more than football before making any picks.  Last year it became foolish to make any bets early in the week, not knowing which players would be out by Sunday due to COVID-19. Figuring out who would be in or out was more important than any other factor.  Through the first 14 weeks of this season, there were some cases of players missing games on the COVID-19 list, but nothing like last season. This week seems like 2020.  There were outbreaks for multiple NFL… Source link

Google says bug with Teams and Android can cause 911 calls to fail

Last week, a Reddit user reported that they weren’t able to call 911 using their Pixel 3 and later said they were working with Google support to figure out the issue. Yesterday, Google announced what was causing the issue in a reply to the post: an “unintended interaction between the Microsoft Teams app and the underlying Android operating system” (via 9to5Google). In its comment, Google says that the bug happens when someone is using Android 10 or later and has Teams installed but… Source link
