After a highly productive career in MMA, Anderson Silva is taking on a new challenge. The former UFC middleweight champion will try his hand at boxing in a match against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday.  This isn’t going to be a one-fight deal for Silva, however. One of the greatest fighters in UFC history is no longer with the UFC. Anderson Silva, once the longtime UFC middleweight champion, was officially dropped by the promotion after 14 years of fighting in the Octagon, according to ESPN’s Marc Raimondi. Silva still had one fight left on his contract, but has now reportedly been released.
