It’s official. The all-electric Porsche Taycan sedan is more popular than the iconic 911 sports car. Last year Porsche sold 41,296 Taycans, topping sales of the 911, but it should be noted the 911 also hit a new sales record of 38,464 cars sold. For car fans, and lovers of a true analog experience when driving a car, it seems time is running out — the electric revolution is coming soon.  Sure, sales of EVs are around 2.7% of total car sales here in the U.S,, but we all see the writing on the wall, from Detroit to Düsseldorf: the gas-powered car is dying. It was another big year for Porsche (VWAGY) here in U.S., despite a pandemic changing how the German automaker — and every other automaker for that matter — does business. While a slowdown hurt performance in the spring, prospects turned around quickly for Porsche, as it ended up delivering 57,294 vehicles in the U.S., its second best year ever.
