Apple has added a service that lets you automatically transfer photos, videos, and albums from your iCloud Photo Library to Google Photos (via MacRumors). The feature has a support document outlining the procedure, which simply entails going to privacy.apple.com, logging in, and going through the “transfer a copy of your data” process. Google will start limiting how many high-quality photos users can store on the company’s cloud back-up service starting next June, it announced on Wednesday, in a move that could help protect profit margins. “Growing demand for storage” means Google Photos can no longer honor a years-old policy of unlimited capacity for high-quality images, the company said in a blog post. India’s coronavirus crisis continues to worsen at an alarming rate, recording more than 40,000 cases in a single day for the first time on Sunday. Google has responded to the inadvertent reveal of a new Nest smart speaker through regulatory filings by, well, confirming its existence.
