Former Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett is back in the NFL, this time as a coach. The Detroit Lions hired Barrett as an offensive assistant Saturday. This comes almost two years after Barrett was waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers before the 2020 season. Barrett had signed with the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League in January, but an injury in March forced him to the retired list. Villanova is back in the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in the last five men’s NCAA tournaments. The No. 2 Wildcats hung on in the second half to bounce No. 7 Ohio State, 71-61, on Sunday in the South region. Remember Bishop Sycamore? The high school football team no one had heard of that lost 58-0 to IMG Academy in a game that was somehow broadcast on ESPN? The game took place in Canton, Ohio, in August, and on Friday, the Ohio Department of Education released the report from its monthslong investigation of the school.
