The Denver Nuggets are signing DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract on Friday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. It’s the center’s fourth team in two years since coming back from an ACL injury that kept him out of the 2019-20 NBA season.  The 10-day contract covers six games on the Nuggets schedule. Denver (23-20) hosts the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night and the Detroit Pistons on Sunday. Isaiah Thomas is ready to make his return to the NBA. Thomas signed a deal with the Denver Nuggets’ G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Gold, on Monday, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Thomas is set to compete in the G League Showcase in Las Vegas starting on Sunday. After acquiring Aaron Gordon at the trade deadline, the Denver Nuggets have locked him up long-term. Gordon and the Nuggets have agreed to a four-year, $92 million contract extension that includes a player option for the 2025-26 season. The Athletic’s Shams Charania broke the news Tuesday, citing Gordon’s agent Calvin Andrews. Popeyes (QSR) is adding chicken nuggets to its menu, using the same recipe as the hotly-coveted chicken sandwich that’s been a runaway hit for the restaurant chain.
