He will, though, be with the team when they take on his former team on Thursday. Veteran point guard Goran Dragic is joining the Brooklyn Nets, Shams Charania reported for The Athletic on Monday. The 14-year NBA veteran was traded from the Toronto Raptors, for whom he played five games in total, to the San Antonio Spurs at the trade deadline this month. Though the Nets could definitely use him, especially now with Kevin Durant sidelined with his MCL injury, Kyrie Irving isn’t going to change his mind on receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. The auction of Bill Russell memorabilia was a runaway success.  The 87-year-old civil rights icon and 11-time NBA champion auctioned over 400 items from his long and storied career at the TD Garden on Friday. When the auction closed and the dust settled, the total came to over $5 million. Facing down the possibility of yet another ignominious Eastern Conference exit, the Milwaukee Bucks have forced a Game 7 against the NBA’s title favorites.
