Kansas beats North Carolina to win NCAA tournament

Kansas pulled off the biggest comeback in men’s national championship game history to beat North Carolina, 72-69, and win the 2022 NCAA tournament. The Jayhawks were down by 15 at halftime and trailed at 16 at one point in the first half. Villanova is back in the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in the last five men’s NCAA tournaments. The No. 2 Wildcats hung on in the second half to bounce No. 7 Ohio State, 71-61, on Sunday in the South region. After Thursday’s first day of NCAA tournament action, only 14 perfect Yahoo Tourney Pick’Em brackets remained. By Friday afternoon, there were none. An entry named Go Back To Webster Ave. was the last bracket standing after Miami edged USC, 68-66 on Friday. It was the only bracket to correctly pick the tournament’s first 22 games. LSU fires Will Wade after NCAA notice of allegations

Will Wade is officially out as LSU head coach, almost three years to the day after it emerged that he had been caught on an FBI wiretap discussing illegal payments to a recruit.
