New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India has opened yet another antitrust case against Google, this time looking into the company’s payments app, Google Pay. The case alleges that Google unfairly promoted its own payments app via “prominent placement on the Play Store” and “imposing unfair terms on users by requiring them to use Google Pay which is not in compliance with the data localisation directive issued by Reserve Bank of India and the guidelines issued by NPCI”. … Source link
