We’ve known for months that Google has been working to make its Messaging app properly display emoji reactions sent by iPhone users. According to a new report from 9to5Google, Google Messages may be receiving an update that will slightly enhance the messaging experience on the Android end. As per the outlet’s “APK Insight”, code has been found in the most recent version of Google Messages that would show iMessage ‘reactions’ as emoji’s within Google Messages. In the latest APK Insight report by 9to5Google, the default SMS/RCS app for Android: Google Messages may be receiving a new feature that lets users send videos over Google Photos in cases where RCS is not available. AT&T and Google have announced that all Android phones on the network will use Google’s Android Messages app for SMS and RCS services.
