The meme stock craze has found its latest target: video game hardware maker Corsair (CRSR). The company’s stock was up 31% when the market opened on Monday to $40.70, its highest price since late February, as mentions of the company on Wall Street Bets’ (WSB) Reddit pages have exploded. As the delta variant of the coronavirus spreads in southeastern China, doctors say they are finding that the symptoms are different and more dangerous than those they saw when the initial version of the virus started spreading in late 2019 in the central city of Wuhan. Fast-food’s biggest players are letting the robots right in through the front door as they seek out ways to overcome rising wages and worker shortages.  McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski disclosed at a recent Wall Street conference the company is testing automated voice ordering for its drive-thru. (Bloomberg) — The world’s biggest meat supplier has become the latest casualty of a cybersecurity attack, posing a fresh threat to global food security already rattled by the Covid-19 pandemic.
