DQ’d? From a pro-am? That appears to be the case for Jordan Spieth at the 2022 JP McManus Pro-Am in Limerick, Ireland. The event is a two-day, 36-hole charitable event that has raised more than $145 million in its previous five stagings. Spieth is one of a plethora of stars playing. LeBron James is officially a billionaire. The Los Angeles Lakers star is worth an estimated $1 billion, according to Forbes, which makes him the first active NBA player to join the billionaire club. The only other basketball player to be worth 10 figures is Michael Jordan, who earned that moniker 11 years after he retired when his stake in the Charlotte Hornets increased to 89.5 percent in 2014. Jordan Spieth got as close to the cliffs at Pebble Beach as he possibly could on Saturday afternoon. Though he miraculously saved par in the third round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Spieth had to take off running backward after his shot so he didn’t fall nearly 70 feet down onto the rocks and beach below. “It was by far the most nerve-wracking shot I’ve ever hit in my life, like by far,” he was heard telling his caddie.
