As we begin Tuesday, we are done with the first stretch of the men’s NCAA tournament. The Sweet 16 is set, while the Terrific 10 are in action on the NHL schedule Tuesday. That is to say, we have five games on the slate, since the Bruins and the Islanders have had their contest postponed. However, Monday still throws us a curveball, as there is an NHL game at 4:00 p.m. EDT between the Lightning and the Predators. When I wrote up my recommendations for Wednesday, I made note of the fact it was a very Western-focused group of games in terms of teams, and especially home teams. Well, Thursday is kind of the opposite of that. Calgary is at home against Montreal, but otherwise nobody west of Dallas is in action (It can be easy to forget that Winnipeg is basically just north of Minnesota).
