Amazon (AMZN) shares reached a record intraday high after reporting first-quarter results and guidance that blew past expectations.  Shares of the e-commerce giant jumped as much as 2.4% to reach as high as 3,553.39 Friday morning in New York. Google parent Alphabet Inc. rang up record profits for a third straight quarter during the pandemic, catapulting shares 5% to a 52-week high in after-hours trading Tuesday. Home price growth in the U.S. surged at the fastest pace in 15 years in February. Standard & Poor’s said Tuesday that its S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller national home price index posted a 12% annual gain in February, up from 11.2% in January. The rate is the highest year over year gain recorded by the index since February 2006.
