It’s hard to believe Google Drive’s just now getting copy / paste shortcuts

Google has announced that it’s adding the ability to use keyboard shortcuts to cut, copy, and paste files in Drive, as long as you’re using Chrome. The feature will use th— okay, hold on just a minute here. Are you really trying to tell me that we couldn’t already do this? Sure enough, when I went to Google Drive on the web and pressed Command + C on a file, then went into a folder and pressed Command + V, nothing happened. And this December 2021 archive of Drive’s list of… Source link

Vicente Luque’s long, hard and grueling MMA journey

Vicente Luque’s long, hard and grueling MMA journey

No matter what sport you pick, whether it be individual sports like fighting, golf and track or team sports like football, baseball, basketball and hockey, the vast majority of athletes at the professional level are so gifted that the mere mortals among us can’t comprehend it. None of us will hit a golf ball like Tiger Woods or a baseball like Mike Trout, throw a pass like Tom Brady or engage in a jaw-dropping slugfest like Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev did on Saturday at UFC 273. And… Source link

Tech workers face ‘hard days,’ says Ukrainian entrepreneur

A highly educated workforce and low cost of labor made Ukraine an attractive outsourcing tech hub for Fortune 500 firms, churning out more than 200,000 IT workers. But these days, Andrew Pavliv, the founder and CEO of N-iX, one of Ukraine’s largest tech companies, is more consumed with managing the flow of employees within his own country. Since the Russian invasion began last month, Pavliv’s firm has evacuated nearly 200 employees from hard hit cities in eastern Ukraine, including… Source link

Grayson Allen suspended for hard foul on Alex Caruso

The NBA is suspending Milwaukee Bucks guard Grayson Allen one game for a flagrant foul that broke Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso‘s wrist.  The Bucks “disagree” with the decision. we worked very hard on the texture

Beyond Meat’s founder Ethan Brown says his R&D team worked double-time to get the texture of KFC’s iconic chicken spot on.  “It has been a fun process. We have been trying to get to the North Star. Everyone loves the taste of Kentucky Fried Chicken. We wanted to deliver on that, but change the substrate — the meat component of it. For us, it was a focus on texture. So that is the North Star of Kentucky Fried Chicken’s delicious tasting products. I think we are getting closer and closer,”… Source link

Google Is Trying Really Hard to Make You Forget the Best Reason to Buy an iPhone. There’s Just 1 Problem

For the past 15 years, since the day Steve Jobs stood on a stage and introduced the world to the iPhone, it has had one major advantage over the competition: Seamless integration with the overall Apple ecosystem. The iPhone, along with everything else Apple makes. just works together in a way that Android (or Windows, for that matter) devices never really do. For example, you can copy and paste from your iPhone to your Mac, or vice versa. Or, you can start reading an article on a website on… Source link

Depleted Browns fight hard but lose to Raiders on last play

The Cleveland Browns have nothing to be ashamed of.  They lost on Monday, but there wasn’t much they could do. The Browns had 18 players, including eight starters, on the COVID-19 list. They were down to third-string quarterback Nick Mullens, who was signed from the practice squad on Thursday and finally got to practice with the first-team offense on Saturday. Coach Kevin Stefanski was even ruled out. And the Browns led in the fourth quarter, somehow. Mullens hit a fourth-down touchdown pass… Source link

Starbucks takes hard line on unions, insists will ‘come to the table’ with Buffalo workers

Starbucks (SBUX) on Monday reiterated its tough stance against unionizing, saying that while the movement was not in the best interests of its workforce, it would “bargain in good faith” with one location that voted to organize. Recently, partners at a store in Buffalo scored a big win after voting to form the coffee giant’s first ever union. On Friday, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) confirmed the vote, according to an internal memo obtained by Yahoo Finance. Yet the… Source link
