Legendary soccer player Pelé turned 80 on Friday, and Google paid tribute with a special treat hidden within search. When you search for “Pele” on Google, scroll down to the very bottom of results. You’ll notice instead of Google with several O’s in between to signal additional pages of results, it spells out the word “Goal” with 10 O’s. That 10th “O” is replaced by a bouncing soccer ball. Google will discontinue its emergency location sharing app Trusted Contacts in December, and has already yanked it from the Google Play Store. Instead, it’s directing existing users to try similar but less helpful features in Google Maps.
