Google has a cute little Wordle Easter egg

Wordle, the viral word game where you guess a 5-letter word, is everywhere. It’s in group chats, in Slack threads, and all over social media. There are Wordle clones, and clever spins on the format. Someone — in a major asshole move — even created a Twitter bot that spoiled Wordle for avid players. But here’s something a little more pure: Google, the search engine, has a cute little Easter egg for players searching for the game. Here, give it a go: Open Google Type in Wordle

Google has a Wordle Easter egg and it’s cute, okay – TechCrunch

I know, I know, you’re tired of Wordle. Just mute the word “wordle” on Twitter and don’t be like the guy who made a Wordle-spoiling bot and got banned from Twitter today for being a party pooper (actually, it’s because it’s against Twitter guidelines to make a bot that is designed to bother people, but that’s some definitively party-pooping behavior). Legendary soccer player Pelé turned 80 on Friday, and Google paid tribute with a special treat hidden within search. When you search for “Pele” on Google, scroll down to the very bottom of results. When you click on it, users will see an animation showing the “G” performing a bicycle kick of the ball… Source link
