Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II is a marvelous player. Before the end of his second season he’s already one of the best young defensive players in football. Pro Football Focus’ grades have Surtain ranked as the ninth-best cornerback in the NFL, and that seems low. He has shut down some of the game’s best receivers. He’s a star. Surtain is also a fantastic cornerback on one of the worst teams in football, which has little hope for a quick turnaround. The Broncos are proving that you… Source link

Bryce Young seems like a good sort. He’s certainly a fantastic quarterback for Alabama. He comes off well in those Dr. Pepper commercials. He deserves better than the Houston Texans. Any young quarterback does. The Texans are leaving little doubt they’re going to get the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. They had an embarrassing performance in a 30-15 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday to fall to 1-9-1. The Texans trailed 30-0 at halftime and it was probably worse than the score… Source link

Yesterday I listed a few players that I think are being drafted too high based on the fact that they are more likely to be autopicked (at least when I autopicked in a few mock drafts). Listing players to move down your rankings also begs the question of which players you could probably reach a little higher for. In other words, which players are being drafted too low by Yahoo and perhaps other fantasy hockey providers. ADP (average draft position) is a useful tool in the draft room… Source link

He’ll replace reliever Connor Brogdon, who was placed on the COVID-19 injured list. It’s the first MLB call-up of his career. He wrote about his feelings on… Source link

Something tells us Buffalo Bills fans are really going to enjoy third-round pick Spencer Brown. After all, we don’t know many rookies who would pay homage to their new team’s fanbase by diving through a table. That’s exactly what Brown did after the Bills drafted him Friday. Brown climbed up on a chair to get some height, double-tapped his elbow and dove right through the table, splitting it in half. Brown’s form was great, and his dive was well-executed. As far as Bills’ table-diving stunts… Source link

Aaron Rodgers went into more depth on his reaction when the Green Bay Packers drafted Jordan Love in Round 1, and it shed more light on his mindset of the controversial pick. Plus, it gave us insight on Rodgers’ drink of choice when things get a little weird. Typically a scotch man, Rodgers told NFL Media’s Kyle Brandt that he was watching the draft closely, perked up when the Packers traded up four picks to No. 26 overall … and then reached for his bottle of tequila when Love was the… Source link
