On the heels of winning a national championship, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has been rewarded with a new contract. Georgia announced Thursday that Smart has agreed to a contract extension through the 2031 season. The new deal includes a raise with Smart’s salary for the 2022 season being bumped to $10.25 million. The Denver Nuggets are signing DeMarcus Cousins to a 10-day contract on Friday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported. It’s the center’s fourth team in two years since coming back from an ACL injury that kept him out of the 2019-20 NBA season.  The 10-day contract covers six games on the Nuggets schedule.
