Tom Thibodeau beats Monty Williams for Coach of the Year

The NBA announced on Monday that New York Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has been named Coach of the Year. Thibodeau edged Phoenix Suns coach Monty Williams for the honor. Williams (45) actually got more first-place votes from media members than Thibodeau (43), but Thibodeau’s 351 points edged Williams’ 340 to secure the award. Magic, coach Steve Clifford agree to ‘mutual’ parting

The Orlando Magic are launching a full rebuild, and they’ve already made one major change.  The Magic announced on Saturday that they’ve decided to part ways with head coach Steve Clifford. The move isn’t a firing, but reportedly a mutual decision.  Clifford, 59, became Magic head coach ahead of the 2018-2019 season.
