Yahoo DFS Basketball: Saturday Picks

Last weekend was one of my better weeks of the year over at Yahoo, and I really feel like we’re getting a good read on their pricing. They tend to be a bit slower than the other sites to raise a player’s price, and that’s certainly the case here. Our first recommendation is a guy that needs a price bump, so let’s go ahead and get into it! Guards Darius Garland, CLE vs. SAC ($29) Seeing Garland below $30 made my jaw drop. This guy has been one of the breakout players in the NBA, averaging 34 Y!… Source link

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Friday Picks

The NBA closes out the work week with nine games on the schedule Friday. There is the potential for a couple of lopsided affairs when the Bucks play the Rockets and the Lakers take on the Thunder. However, there are also several exciting matchups, including the Hawks hosting the Nets. Kevin Durant should be fresh for that matchup after sitting out Wednesday’s battle with the Rockets for rest purposes. The main Yahoo slate will consist of seven of the nine games, so let’s highlight some… Source link

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Monday Picks

The NBA starts off the week in busy fashion with 10 games on the schedule Monday. There are some underwhelming matchups on the slate, including the Pistons hosting the Thunder. However, there are also some stellar matchups, one of which is the Bulls taking on the Nuggets. Another features the surprisingly tough Cavaliers traveling to Milwaukee to face the Bucks. The Cavaliers lost to the Jazz on Sunday, but they put up another valiant effort in the one-point defeat. Let’s dive into some… Source link

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Thursday Picks

Thursday brings a limited five-game slate in the NBA. The Suns will try to extend their 17-game winning streak in a matchup against the Pistons, although they’ll have to do it without Devin Booker (hamstring). The Knicks and Bulls will face off in New York, and a noteworthy absence in that game will be Coby White, who is out for the Bulls after testing positive for COVID-19. The other significant game on the schedule will be the Bucks, who are playing the second game of a back-to-back set,… Source link

Yahoo DFS Basketball: Saturday Picks

I’ve found my groove on Yahoo recently, capitalizing on some missteps from their algorithm. Every DFS site has errors in their systems, and Yahoo tends to keep unknown guys at minimum price tags for way too long. We have a few of those here, but we also have some undervalued studs as well. With that in mind, let’s get into this Saturday slate! Guards Dejounte Murray, SAN at MIL ($33) Murray looks to be in full-on breakout mode right now. We all expected him to take a leap this year but flirting… Source link

Using Early Yahoo ADP & Rankings to Your Advantage (21-22 Fantasy Basketball)

The NBA season doesn’t get underway until October 19, but if you’re itching to draft, you can take full advantage of Yahoo’s fantasy basketball ADP. Because player values have yet to catch up with general consensus and available data, there are plenty of guys who are being highly overvalued and many more who are being slept on. In this piece, I’m going to highlight players from each of the top-10 rounds who are values or fades at current ADP. I’ll close the article… Source link

Basketball talent ‘has been democratized’ globally : NBA Deputy Commissioner

The U.S. men’s national basketball team got a reality check on the road to Olympic gold this week, losing two consecutive exhibition games against Nigeria and Australia. But for Mark Tatum, the deputy commissioner and chief operating officer of the NBA, those defeats marked a victory of sorts, in the league’s decades long quest to internationalize the game of basketball. “The world is getting better, and I think that makes basketball a much more attractive game for the world to… Source link

The basketball gods have it on for the Clippers

Maybe the Los Angeles Clippers really are cursed. They had every opportunity to win a brutally ugly Game 4 of the Western Conference finals, and when they did not fail themselves, the officials did them no favors in an 84-80 loss to the Phoenix Suns. Perhaps it is fitting that the fewest points allowed in a loss this entire NBA season dropped the Clippers into a 3-1 hole. The Clippers did all the necessary work to turn a 50-36 halftime deficit into a three-point game entering the fourth… Source link
