Google has finally released a Wear OS app for YouTube Music, which could seem like welcome news for people who have been waiting for a way to play their music off Google’s streaming service after the company shut down Google Play Music on Wear OS in August 2020. Russian internet search engine Yandex said customers can now block spam calls using its Yandex application. The application includes a function that automatically defines telephone numbers; it can recognise advertising calls from financial service providers, as well as other unwanted calls, including fraud calls or calls from debt collectors, for example. Google has confirmed it’s shutting down the standalone “Android Auto for Phone Screens” app with Android 12. Newly unredacted sections of Epic’s antitrust complaint against Google reveal new details on the lengths to which Google went to undermine third-party app stores on the Android platform.
