With only two weeks left until Election Day, Joe Biden’s lead over President Trump has widened to 11 percentage points — Biden’s biggest margin among likely voters in any Yahoo News/YouGov poll to date.  The survey, which was conducted from Oct. 16 to 18, shows that a majority of likely voters (51 percent) now say they are voting for the Democratic nominee while just 40 percent say they are voting for Trump. People close to President Trump told The Washington Post they think that, throughout most of the coronavirus pandemic, he struggled to wholly address the crisis because of an unwillingness to admit error, a positive feedback loop from advisers and Fox News, and a “penchant for magical thinking” that led him to believe the virus would soon disappear. Update: 8:33 p.m. ET After reporting 95 players league-wide with a “known positive test” for COVID-19 on Tuesday, the NFLPA later changed that number to 59. The union’s COVID-19 hub launched last week and initially reported 72 “known positive tests.” NFL Network’s James Palmer reports that the the initial number published Tuesday afternoon also included staff and that the updated tally of 59 reflects players only.
