June 30 (Renewables Now) – Russian Internet company Yandex (MCX:YNDX) plans to fully run its Mantsala data centre in Finland on wind power purchased from local renewables firm Ilmatar Energy.
The two parties have entered into a five-year power purchase agreement (PPA) under which Yandex will source electricity from wind farms operated by the Finnish company.
