HP Inc. has hired Yahoo Inc. general counsel Julie Jacobs as its new top legal executive, the company said Friday in an internal announcement. Jacobs will start Oct. 3 at HP, where she will succeed the tech company’s interim chief legal officer Rick Hansen, a deputy general counsel who took over the role in July. The U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has signed a cooperative research and development agreement with Google to develop and produce chips that researchers can use to develop new nanotechnology and semiconductor devices. The chips will be manufactured by SkyWater Technology at its Bloomington, Minnesota, semiconductor foundry. LONDON: Anti-vaxxer groups are using carrot emojis to evade automated moderation tools used by social media networks to detect news that does not comply with the platform policies, the BBC reported on Friday.
