U.S. stocks tumbled early Friday as the government’s key employment reading showed the labor market grew at a slower pace in September. The U.S. economy added 263,000 jobs last month as the unemployment rate fell to 3.5%. Economists expected a payroll gain of 255,000 and for unemployment to hold at 3.7%. As if Elon Musk’s week couldn’t be more eventful, the Tesla (TSLA) CEO gave the automotive world more news to chew on. In a tweet last night, Musk said Tesla has begun production of its long-awaited electric Tesla Semi truck, and that deliveries to Pepsi (PEP) would begin on December 1st. Oct 7 (Reuters) – Alphabet Inc’s (GOOGL.O) Google plans to invest a total of 100 billion yen ($690.13 million) in Japan through 2024, its Chief Executive Officer Sundar Pichai told Nikkei in an interview on Friday. Google will open a data centre in Chiba Prefecture near Tokyo next year — its first in Japan — which will provide faster and more stable access to Google’s services, the publication reported further.
