Stocks drift lower as investors look ahead to Fed decision

Stocks drifted to the downside on Monday in a muted start to the week, as traders awaited a key monetary policy decision from the Federal Reserve.  The S&P 500 ticked down after the index closed at a record high on Friday. The Dow also traded little changed to slightly lower, while the Nasdaq was roughly flat. Downtown San Jose hotel next to Google village nears construction
