John Harbaugh consulted Tyler Huntley on 2-point attempt

The great debate over going for two found fresh fodder on Sunday when the Baltimore Ravens gambled the outcome of their game against the Green Bay Packers on one final play.  Video released on Monday showed how the decision went down on the Baltimore sideline. After the Ravens scored a late touchdown to cut their deficit to 31-30, head coach John Harbaugh rolled the dice on a two-point conversion with the game on the line. Convert, and they take the lead with 42 seconds remaining. Fail, and… Source link

Google is turning off the controls for OnHub routers at the end of 2022

Google’s insistence on cloud-based controls for its networking products has occasionally caused issues, even though it was supposed to make life with OnHub routers simple. Now it will be a reason pushing anyone still using the OnHub to find a replacement by the end of next year when Google’s apps stop allowing owners to change the settings on their devices. An email went out to users, and a support page revealed the changeover is scheduled for December 19th, 2022 (via Droid-Life).

WTA standing up to China is laudable

Some things are more important than money. It seems as though we hear a lot of people and companies say that, but very few actually act on it. For too many, when push comes to shove, the money is just too enticing. The Women’s Tennis Association, or WTA Tour, is showing what that practice really looks like as it stands up to global giant China in defense of one of its players, Peng Shuai.  There’s a lot of concern for Peng’s well-being right now, after the 35-year-old took to Weibo, China’s… Source link

Manchin killing Build Back Better is ‘devastating’ to climate change action, experts say

When Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., announced on Fox News on Sunday that he won’t vote for the current version of Build Back Better, experts predicted he may have single-handedly killed the world’s best hope of avoiding catastrophic climate change. How the Sox will use Michael Kopech in rotation in 2022 originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago The Chicago White Sox pledged a “creative” way to deploy Michael Kopech during the 2021 campaign. Come 2022, that creativity isn’t going anywhere. Kopech missed back-to-back seasons in 2019 and 2020, the first while recovering from Tommy John surgery and the second due to personal reasons. The White Sox never took him out of their long-term planning, but he obviously boasted limited experience and… Source link

Tesla is at risk of losing its market dominance: analyst

Tesla (TSLA) bulls shouldn’t get too comfy with the company’s market dominance continuing unabated, warns Guggenheim analyst Ali Faghri.  “Our balanced view [on Tesla] is based on: 1) a favorable near-term setup — with demand outpacing supply, we see visibility to volume upside in 2022 and 2023 as new factories in Austin and Berlin ramp; 2) competitive advantage over all original equipment manufacturers today, including a high degree of vertical integration, a software defined vehicle… Source link
