NFLPA changes number of positive COVID-19 cases among players from 95 to 59

Update: 8:33 p.m. ET

After reporting 95 players league-wide with a “known positive test” for COVID-19 on Tuesday, the NFLPA later changed that number to 59.

The union’s COVID-19 hub launched last week and initially reported 72 “known positive tests.”

NFL Network’s James Palmer reports that the the initial number published Tuesday afternoon also included staff and that the updated tally of 59 reflects players only.
