One of the Atlanta Braves‘ best young pitchers won’t pitch this season after an unexpected and unfortunate injury. Mike Soroka re-tore his Achilles tendon while walking around the clubhouse, the team announced Saturday.
Soroka, 23, was recovering after initially tearing his Achilles during a start last August. Soroka had surgery to repair the issue and was expected back in April. Soroka experienced multiple setbacks during rehab, however, and has not pitched for the Braves this season.
