Jaguars cut rookie kicker after 1 of his 3 field goal misses hit ex-Cowboys coach

Undrafted free agent kicker Andrew Mevis hasn’t had a great start to his NFL career.

Four days into his first training camp, Mevis was cut by the Jacksonville Jaguars after missing three field goals during the team’s Thursday warm-ups, according to ESPN’s Michael DiRocco. One of those field goals reportedly missed its mark so badly that it hit former Dallas Cowboys head coach Dave Campo in the shoulder, and the other two weren’t even close to the goalposts.
