Google Shuts Loon Helium Balloon Project

OAKLAND, Calif. — Google’s parent company Alphabet is shutting down Loon, a high-profile subsidiary spun out from its research labs that used high-altitude helium balloons to deliver cellular connectivity from the stratosphere.
