Google, Facebook, and other big tech companies may have to negotiate deals with US news publishers to pay them for content if new bill passes.
The bipartisan bill is led by Senator Amy Klobuchar and Representative David Cicilline, both Democrats. It’s sponsored by Senator John Kennedy and Representative Ken Buck, both Republicans.
