Tech stocks have plummeted in 2022 so far

Amazon is among the big tech stocks losing ground so far this year. (Source: AP) Stock market-listed technology companies the world over have seen their share prices plummet in the first few weeks of 2022, as concerns over rising inflation scare off investors. The NASDAQ 100 Technology index, which includes gigantic names like Apple, Microsoft and Google’s owner Alphabet, shed 12 per cent of its value in the first 21 days of 2022. The unusually sluggish start to the year for technology stocks… Source link

Grayson Allen suspended for hard foul on Alex Caruso

The NBA is suspending Milwaukee Bucks guard Grayson Allen one game for a flagrant foul that broke Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso‘s wrist.  The Bucks “disagree” with the decision. The incident happened in the third quarter of Milwaukee’s 94-90 win on Friday. With 5:45 remaining in the quarter, Caruso drove to the basket on a fast break. Allen jumped to meet Caruso at the rim, swiped at his ball hand with his left hand, then threw Caruso to the floor with his right hand.  “It was really bad…. Source link

Tom Brady gets first unsportsmanlike penalty for arguing

Everyone already knew Tom Brady got away with a lot of talking to officials during a game, mostly complaining about non-calls against him.  Officials probably didn’t like hearing Brady brag publicly about how much they let him get away with.  A couple days after Brady said that he gets away with “talking smack to the refs when I don’t think I get the right call,” he got the first unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of his career, according to NBC’s Al Michaels. Los Angeles Rams linebacker Von… Source link

Ndamukong Suh says Matthew Stafford kicked him

Ndamukong Suh is no stranger to kicking headlines. Just not like this.  The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle known as much for his flagrant foot as his Pro Bowl prowess was involved in another incident early in Sunday’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. This time, he was the recipient. That’s his version of the story, at least.  Suh got pressure on Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford on a pass play in the first quarter. Stafford got rid of the ball right before Suh hit him. He… Source link

Rams don’t want 49ers fans at SoFi Stadium

When the Green Bay Packers lost on Saturday, the Los Angeles Rams’ sales department was ready.  Saturday’s result ensured that the winner of Sunday’s NFC divisional round playoff game between the Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers would host the NFC championship game. In a show of optimism, the Rams were promoting ticket sales on Sunday morning. With one caveat.  No 49ers fans allowed. At least the ones who live in San Francisco — or anywhere else outside of Los Angeles. Facing the prospect of… Source link

Bucs to play without RT Tristan Wirfs vs. Rams

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play Sunday’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams without Tristan Wirfs.  The All-Pro right tackle sprained his right against the Philadelphia Eagles last week and was on the Bucs’ inactive list ahead of kickoff Sunday. He sustained the injury on Tampa Bay’s first drive in the wild-card win over Philadelphia.  He briefly returned, but was ruled out for the game when it became evident that he couldn’t play. He practiced on Friday in hopes of playing against… Source link

Is the Dallas Cowboys offense overrated?

The Dallas Cowboys season ended with a whimper this past Wild Card weekend, as they fell 23-17 in a game that didn’t feel that close. The failed quarterback-run-then-spike with time running out was a microcosm of a season that began with incredibly lofty expectations. The Cowboys had some bright spots along with some disappointments in fantasy as well. Hyped second-year receiver CeeDee Lamb ended as the WR18. Amari Cooper finished as WR27. Dak Prescott had a great QB7 finish, though many… Source link

In his 2022 letter to CEOs, BlackRock (BLK) CEO Larry Fink urged other heads of companies to prepare for and participate in the green transition as part of a broader defense of stakeholder capitalism. “I believe the decarbonizing of the global economy is going to create the greatest investment opportunity of our lifetime,” Fink wrote. “It will also leave behind the companies that don’t adapt, regardless of what industry they are in.” The CEO of the world’s largest asset manager… Source link

CEO of Tom Brady’s fitness company describes ‘the No.1 one thing that you can do’

Twenty-two years and seven Super Bowl championships into his NFL career, Tom Brady has reached unprecedented success and is still going strong. The Buccaneers quarterback is scheduled to play in his 47th NFL playoff game on Sunday, 20 more than the next closest quarterback on the all-time playoff appearance list.
