The legend of Gardner Minshew grew more this offseason. Since February, Minshew has been living out of a refurbished prison bus he parked outside various locations he visited and trained at all offseason. He even pulled up to the Philadelphia Eagles training camp in the bus. Minshew detailed his journey in a long Instagram video, where he showed off his decked-out bus which featured plenty of 1970s-style flair including a lava lamp, white shag throw pillows and album covers lining the walls.

A defensive lineman got a little too close to Josh Allen at training camp on Saturday, and the Buffalo Bills quarterback wasn’t having it. Allen sparked a brief altercation with defensive tackle Jordan Phillips at their training camp in Rochester, New York, after Phillips bumped Allen after the play. [Set, hut, hike! Create or join a fantasy football league now!] Allen, clearly fuming, ran back and shoved Phillips in his helmet — which led to a much larger, although brief, scuffle.

In March, Smith slapped Rock on stage during the 2022 Academy Awards after the comedian made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s lack of hair, comparing her to a character in the movie G.I. Jane. Of course, there’s talk and then there’s rumor mongering: this week, two random posts from one user in a Stadia fan group on Facebook proclaiming the imminent death of Stadia had gotten some… Source link

Ok, boomer: From balancing your checkbook to ironing your clothes, many vintage skills are becoming obsolete You used to be able to tell a lot about a person by the cut of their gib, the pleat of their pants or the tidiness of their handwriting. These days, with technology streamlining so much of our modern lives, there are fewer individual skills that one needs to get by. For example, when was the last time you balanced your checkbook? Digital natives — people who were born into a world… Source link

The Pixel 2 is an almost five-year-old phone, but it introduced a feature that I miss more and more with each passing year. It was called Active Edge, and it let you summon Google Assistant just by giving your phone a squeeze. In some ways, it’s an unusual idea. But it effectively gave you something sorely lacking on modern phones: a way to physically interact with the phone to just get something done. Looking at the sides of the Pixel 2 and 2 XL, you won’t see anything to indicate… Source link

Google has a delightful new multiplayer Doodle that lets you play a game of pétanque online. If you haven’t heard of pétanque — I hadn’t before writing this article — it’s a game that’s kind of like bocce ball. The goal of pétanque is to throw your ball (the boule) as close as you can to a little ball (the cochonnet) on the playing field in front of you. On your computer, you’ll “throw” the ball by clicking on the boule and dragging back with your mouse to slingshot… Source link
