Joel Embiid ‘did a lot of chasing’ to try to keep Ben Simmons

With the second half of the NBA season starting this week, Joel Embiid insists he has put the Ben Simmons saga behind him. “I did a lot of chasing around trying to get him back and try to make him feel comfortable again,” Embiid told ESPN’s Malika Andrews on Tuesday of his former teammate. “It was tough. “I didn’t care anymore.” Simmons was involved in a messy exit from Philadelphia after he requested a trade and then sat out for months while racking up fines and refusing to play…. Google is testing a new home page that looks suspiciously like Bing and Yahoo!

Since its launch in 1998, the Google search engine home page has kept its clean and minimalist interface, including the famous Doodles. However, this could be about to change, as the Mountain Viewers are testing a new design, including information such as news, weather and more. If we just stop for a moment to think, we can realize that this idea is not new. The home pages of Yahoo! Bing and MSN have made it their standard to provide us with a good dose of news and “interesting… Source link

JJ Redick slams ex-teammate Zion Williamson after absence

After apparent silence between the two since CJ McCollum arrived in New Orleans, Zion Williamson has reached out to his new teammate. McCollum was traded to the Pelicans earlier this month and played just five games with the team before the All-Star break. Bettors prefer Suns and Grizzlies over Warriors

Everyone loves a winner and that’s all the Phoenix Suns have been doing this season. After starting the year 1-3, the Suns quickly doused “flash in the pan” takes by reeling off 18 consecutive victories. They entered the All-Star break with a 48-10 record, winning their last seven games and 18 of their last 19. This dominant showing in the West has translated into significant money being wagered on BetMGM that the Suns repeat last year’s conference championship feat. Everything revolves… Source link

Google’s dark mode goes darker

Users are beginning to see Google’s new pitch-black dark mode, 9to5Google reported. The previous dark mode was a gray that was soothing on the eyes, but Google switched to a true black (#000000) that should really pop on OLED and AMOLED displays. Google announced the wider availability of dark mode earlier this month, but thus far, the release has been slow. Few people seem to have it, and 9to5Google reports that some users have received the new theme only to lose it. Google said it was… Source link

Stock futures recover some losses after S&P 500 tumbles into correction

Stock futures opened higher Tuesday evening after a steep sell-off during the regular trading day, which pushed the S&P 500 and Dow to their lowest settlements so far of 2022. Contracts on the S&P 500 rose. The blue-chip index had closed lower by just over 1% on Tuesday, bringing it more than 10% from its record closing high from Jan. 3 — or below the threshold to have entered a correction. The Nasdaq and Dow each also ended in sharply in the red. Hopes of a diplomatic resolution for… Source link

Snoop Dogg scion Cordell Broadus embraces crypto, NFTs as the future of music

Snoop Dogg once dreamed that his son, Cordell Broadus, would play professional football. But instead of the NFL, the younger Broadus eventually took a liking to another kind of rough and tumble sport: cryptocurrency. Back in 2017, Broadus was introduced to crypto by now deceased rapper Nipsey Hussle, who urged him to get into digital tokens to buy virtual real estate. He didn’t act right away, but when the crypto market crashed in 2018, his interest was piqued. Since then, he’s taken on… Source link
