Google Settles Pay and Hiring Bias Case for $3.8 Million

Google has agreed to pay about $3.8 million to settle allegations of systemic compensation and hiring discrimination at California and Washington worksites. Google and a Google contractor broke federal law by forbidding workers from discussing their wages with each other, a newly formed union claimed in its first complaint to the National Labor Relations Board.
