Google’s latest diversity report shows jump in departures among women of color

Google’s latest diversity report shows that despite some gains in the number of Black employees, the company is lagging in its goal to double the number of Black workers by 2025. And the search giant is having particular difficulty retaining women of color, the report released Thursday (pdf) shows. Economy adds back 850,000 payrolls, unemployment rate ticks up to 5.9%

The U.S. economy added back jobs for a sixth straight month in June, with job growth picking up speed alongside the reopening economy.  The U.S. Labor Department released its June jobs report Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. ET. (Bloomberg) — Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.’s largest individual shareholders Jack Ma and Joe Tsai pledged parts of their combined $35 billion stake in the e-commerce giant in exchange for significant loans from banks, the Financial Times reported, citing company documents.
