Twitter denies blue check for Vikings legend Alan Page

Twitter found a novel way to make Minnesota angry on Thursday. It said Alan Page isn’t notable enough for its fabled blue check mark. That would be Alan Page, the Minnesota Vikings legend. Alan Page, the Pro and College Football Hall of Famer. Alan Page, the Minnesota Supreme Court justice. Alan Page, the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Alan Page, the namesake of the NFLPA’s community service award. All of that sounds like a fairly notable person — it goes without saying that… Source link

As Hawaii’s Lieutenant Governor Josh Green explained to Yahoo Finance Thursday, a 14-fold spike in COVID-19 infections since July and a surge in hospitalizations has led the Aloha state to “hit the pause button on travel to Hawaii until October.” “As a physician, I’m seeing the impact on our hospitals. Our hospitals are now full in the state of… Source link

Here’s the cost of going unvaccinated

Delta Air Lines broke new ground recently by requiring unvaccinated employees to pay an extra $200 per month for company-provided health insurance. That may be a bargain for workers refusing to get vaccinated against Covid-19. The average cost of hospitalization for Covid-19 is around $20,000, according to recently published data from the Kaiser Family Foundation. At $200 per month, it would take 100 months of added premiums, or more than 8 years’ worth, to cover the cost of a Covid… Source link
