Pending home sales fall for second straight month

The housing market may be cooling down. Pending home sales, a leading indicator of the health of the housing market, fell 1.8% in July, the second straight month of declines. The National Association of Realtors’ (NAR) Pending Home Sales Index, which tracks the number of homes that are under contract to be sold, dropped 1.8% in July from the previous month.
